DNJ® Engine Timing Belts are vital components in modern overhead camshaft (OHC) and dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) engine designs. These belts synchronize the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft(s), ensuring precise timing of valve operation in relation to piston movement. DNJ® Engine Timing Belts are constructed from high-tensile strength fiberglass cords encapsulated in a durable, heat- and wear-resistant rubber compound such as hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR). The outer surface often features a nylon fabric coating to reduce friction and improve noise characteristics. These materials are chosen for their superior resistance to high temperatures, oil contamination, abrasion, and stretching ensuring long service life and reliable timing under demanding engine conditions.
