DNJ® Engine Harmonic Balancers are constructed from a combination of cast iron or steel for the outer ring, a steel or aluminum inner hub, and a bonded high-durometer rubber or elastomer layer. Steel and cast iron are used for their high tensile strength and resistance to fatigue, making them ideal for withstanding high-RPM stress and torsional loads. The rubber insulator absorbs rotational forces and isolates harmful crankshaft harmonics, preventing them from transferring to other engine components.
