DNJ® Engine Harmonic Balancers, also known as vibration dampers, are precision-engineered components designed to help reduce twisting vibrations in the crankshaft and protect critical rotating parts from wear and potential damage. They use a combination of a central hub, a weighted ring, and a rubber layer to absorb and neutralize harmful engine vibrations. This ensures smoother engine operation, extends the life of the crankshaft, and reduces strain on parts like timing gears and drive belts.

DNJ® Engine Harmonic Balancers are constructed from a combination of cast iron or steel for the outer ring, a steel or aluminum inner hub, and a bonded high-durometer rubber or elastomer layer. Steel and cast iron are used for their high tensile strength and resistance to fatigue, making them ideal for withstanding high-RPM stress and torsional loads. The rubber insulator absorbs rotational forces and isolates harmful crankshaft harmonics, preventing them from transferring to other engine components. This combination ensures long-lasting durability, effective vibration damping, and protection of critical engine components under high-stress operating conditions.
